Our Story
Cat Trap Fever was formed in the summer of 2024 not only to promote TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) efforts within Cumberland County but also to pursue changing laws, policies and increase public support regarding community cats. Only through cooperation between non-profit organizations, local governments and the community can overpopulation of community cats be controlled, maintained and reduced. Education is key to change!
Cat Trap Fever does not maintain an animal shelter and is not a full-service rescue group in the traditional sense. We do not have a facility to house cats. We rescue at-risk kittens from the cat colonies we TNR, but only if foster space is available.

Our Mission
To promote and conduct targeted Trap Neuter Return (TNR) of community cat colonies within Cumberland County and educate caregivers on best colony management practices.
