Donate
Cat Trap Fever is currently operated on donations and fundraisers. We do not receive any state or federal funding. Most grants require at least 1 year of financial history so we will begin applying for grants in 2025.

Monetary donations are great but there is so much more to running a successful TNVR program. You can shop our online wishlists, donate a can of sardines or two. No donation is too small.

You can also support us through Kroger Community Rewards through your normal grocery shopping. Simply log in to your account and select "Cat Trap Fever" as your charity of choice OR search our unique code LW241. (In case you're wondering, no, this does not affect your fuel points.)

Ralph's Fund
The first cat our organization helped with was named Ralph. We were contacted about this kitty living off of Lantana Road. He has lived in this neighborhood for years with various neighbors offering food and porches for napping. With no "owner", he has no one to take responsibility for much needed medical care. He was drooling heavily from his mouth and incredibly skinny and unkempt. We trapped him and got him to the vet the next day.

He had multiple exposed root systems in his mouth and would need a full mouth extraction. His body condition was so poor he most likely would not have survived sedation, yet alone surgery. He was also FIV+. He was humanely euthanized at Best Friends the morning of August 30th, 2024.

To honor his memory, we have created Ralph’s Fund. Ralph’s Fund will be dedicated to offering additional medical support to community cats that go through our TNR program. It could be as simple as a tooth extraction or as heart breaking as humane euthanasia to end suffering. We will honor Ralph’s memory by offering additional support to the other forgotten community cats in Cumberland County.

Donations can be made specifically to this fund through our Zeffy fundraiser or any other means of donation. Just be sure to include a note that you would like your donation to be allocated to Ralph’s Fund.

A critical step in the TNR process is having an appropriate space for the cats to stay during their recovery from surgery in addition to 1-2 days before the appointment for “prep”. This can be a smelly endeavour for a few days while the cats are there but once they have been recovered and released and the area is cleaned, the smell will dissipate. A garage, shed, workshop and empty commercial space are all great examples of recovery locations. We are looking for a fully enclosed structure with the following amenities:

-
Electricity with reliable heat/AC control
-
Within Crossville city limits or close to it
-
Available for a minimum of 5-7 consecutive days (usually Saturday – Thursday)
-
Hardwood, laminate or other easily sanitized flooring
-
Accessible to volunteers
-
Can easily fit two 6-foot folding tables
